The Snapshot
Rather than just looking at data based on which states are searching for sex-related queries most often, this new study by Lion’s Den also considered factors like the number of sex therapists in a given state, what percentage of the state’s residents are single and the average number of times they claim to be having sex per week.

The horniest state, according to Lion’s Den’s data? Illinois.

The Lesson
It may not have the sexiest reputation, and “Illinois is for lovers” isn’t exactly a line that most people are familiar with, but the data is hard to refute. (For what it’s worth, Illinois came in 10th in the search-based study from a few months ago.)

The truth is, however romantic or glamorous or sensual a given place appears to be, human beings all over the world are horny. Of course, some people aren’t (respect to our asexual readers), but when you dig into the data, apparently even a regular-degular state like Illinois can be the horniest of them all.
